Twitter poll advances Ripple and Litecoin as payment options for private jet charter

From the inception, TapJets mission was to leverage technology and disrupt/innovate the way people book private jet travel.

TapJets was the first company to offer instant booking with Bitcoin. We then quickly followed up with Ethereum and our use of smart contracts.

On May 15th, 2018 we have posted a poll on Twitter to seek guidance from the overwhelming and vocal communities of cryptocurrency adopters on what altcoin should TapJets add as a payment option for its customers.

The coins that we polled were picked from the request of our current clients and community feedback.  The Twitter audience voted for Verge (XVG), Litecoin (LTC), and Ripple (XRP).   It was a fierce battle between strong supporters of each currency.    We at TapJets were watching and learning as thousands of comments, likes, and retweets challenged our social media management platform.

*Stats from Twitter show different vote counts, we opened an issue with @TwitterSupport but will use the final vote shown the poll.

We are obsessed with making TapJets user experience as simple as possible.  When we decide to accept a new payment method, we have to make sure that our 18,000+ users have minimal impact to theirs in-app user experience, and the exchange rate is accurate and accounts for all of the fees.

People have voted, and we have heard their feedback.  TapJets will proceed to the technical evaluation of Ripple (XRP) and Litecoin (LTC).  We plan to complete our assessment that includes API testing, exchange transaction testing, and other validations by May 28, 2018.

Some of this activity would depend on how agile development teams of XRP/LTC are to our requests.    It is our goal to allow TapJets clients to use these alt-coins on June 1, 2018.

We have been in contact with LTC team already and will be reaching out to XRP team on Monday.

I want to recognize the Verge (XVG) community.  You have a strong following, great feedback, and lots of potentials.   You have forced us to think about significant changes to UX so that additional coins can be added in the future without compromising a checkout experience.  For example, let people select coins in their TapJets profile so that they don't clutter the check-out experience.   You have my commitment that in very near future we will be working on another viable altcoin addition to this new UX, and Verge is on top of my list.

Thank you all for the valuable feedback, support, and please follow me and @Tapjets so that you stay informed on our next move.
