50 Airports will have poor or no 5G coverage. - is yours on the list?

   The FAA released the list of 50 airports (see below) that will not be receiving 5G signal until the solution to prevent interference with airplane radar altimeters is in place.

   Whether you charter a private jet or fly a commercial air carrier, planes use radar altimeters to assist them in landing and departures when the weather is bad and visibility is less than desired. 

   As Verizon and ATT started their rollouts of 5G service, private jets and commercial aircrafts raised concern that their altimeters may have been impacted by cell services that ran on the same frequency.  To ensure the safety of each flight, the FAA intervened and reached an agreement with phone companies not to block 5G rollout in exchange for buffer (protection) zones around 50 airports in the USA.  

   The list is designed to shield these airports from 5G interference and safeguard the equipment installed in private jets, plane rental fleets, private flights, and commercial aircraft.
